All Eurofire Fire Warden Training Courses, throughout Northern Ireland, are carried out by our certified trainers and are individually tailored to each client’s needs in accordance with The Fire Precautions Act.

Eurofire Systems Ltd provide onsite training which is suitable for those who are responsible for overseeing fire safety within the company.

Designated to present an insight into fire regulations and general fire precautions. It aims to provide you with the knowledge to become a Fire Warden which offers our clients the reassurance their staff meets the approval of both Insurers and the Fire Authority.

This course incorporates a live ‘hands on’ practical element giving the trainee experience and confidence to use a fire extinguisher correctly and safely.

IF FIRE BROKE OUT, HOW WOULD YOU REACT?

Eurofire Systems Ltd offer fire training in both Fire Warden and also in General Fire Awareness, suitable for large and small organisations throughout Northern Ireland. Both courses incorporate a live ‘hands on’ practical element giving the trainee experience and confidence to use a fire extinguisher correctly and safely.

The training will present an understanding of current Fire Regulations and general Fire Precautions.

WHAT DOES THE LAW REQUIRE?

UK Fire Legislation requires all employers to ensure that employees are provided with adequate Fire Safety Training.

Fire Safety Training is a Legal Requirement.

Where firefighting equipment is provided in a building, employees and occupants of that building must be provided with adequate fire safety training.

This should include sufficient instruction and training on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard both themselves,

and other relevant persons or visitors on the premises.

THEORETICAL / CLASSROOM SESSION:

Fire prevention and the importance of ‘Good Housekeeping’ and understanding of the main causes of fire in the workplace and tips on how to minimise the risk of an outbreak of fire.

How to identify the different types of fire extinguishers and their uses and their methods of operation.

What to do in the event of an emergency and information required when contacting the emergency services.

The importance of adequate record keeping.

Triangle of combustion.

How fire spreads.

PRACTICAL SESSION – THE USE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS AND FIRE BLANKET

Each participant will be given the practical ‘hands on’ experience of using a fire extinguisher on a live

controlled fire using a Co2, Dry Powder and Foam Type Extinguisher, plus the correct method of using a

Fire Blanket thus giving the understanding of their methods of operation, capabilities and limitations.

It will also provide your employees with the experience, knowledge and confidence to handle a fire

extinguisher correctly and effectively in the event of a fire, to aid escape and protect property, ONLY IF IT IS SAFE TO DO SO!

COURSE DURATION:

Fire Warden approx. 4 Hours (maximum of 15 people per course)

General Fire Awareness Training approx. 2 Hours (maximum of 15 people per course)

On successful completion of the Training, all candidates will be issued with an individual Certificate which should be kept in the Fire Log Book.
